2016 Civic Touring A/C Problem
I have a 2016 Touring model Civic that seems to be having an A/C issue. I've had the car for exactly one year, but I don't recall the A/C not being able to cool the cabin down last summer. The fan setting must always be on high in order for it to make it just barely comfortable in the cabin during the day. The car only has 9,300 miles on it so I can't imagine that it would need Freon or God forbid something worse happening such as the compressor going out. I just dropped it off at a dealership today but they haven't gotten to it yet so I was just trying to get some information from anyone else that might have had this problem with a newer model Civic. Not very happy about it, that's for sure!
Ha! Well, there's no way NOT to "sweat it" in Texas in June! I really hope you're right; that they'll fix the problem. I'm just worried they're going to say that nothing is wrong. And if there IS something wrong, well, that would concern me on such a new vehicle. Also, the car has been there since yesterday morning at 0700 and still hasn't been looked at. That certainly isn't making this any better either!
Finally got the car back today. It was at the dealership since Wednesday. Seems a bit excessive just to have the A/C checked and a fog light bulb replaced! But happy to know that the car was just low on freon as opposed to being something much worse. They checked the system for leaks an other possible causes and found nothing unusual. Still bothers me somewhat that it must have come from the factory like that! But overall, I'm happy to know that it's fixed.
