Default 2750-2800 rpm rattle

My wifes 2003 civic 1.4L manual trans, makes a rattle between 2750-2800 rpms. I will get it up on my dads lift some time this week any advice on what to look at? I really don't think it is clutch related 'cause I think it would make noise more often that within 50 rpms.

Where's the rattleing coming from?

I would probably guess its somewhere along the exhaust.
Check underneath where the exhaust pipe passes underneath the shifter.
The heat shield around the pipes is probably loose or something.

Or check the exhaust tip. It might be hitting the rear bumper or something.
