4 point harness
was wandering if anyone has installed a 4 point harness with no rollbar? im putting mine in and was curious to know if it was going to be difficult to find locations to drill through without hitting anything? and if u have done it curious to see how long it took everyone?
the two bolts that hold the back of the seat bracket to the floor is were you want to mount the lap belt part of the harness and for the belts that go through the top of the seat i would go down to the back seat were the original selt belt holders went, there should be 4 screw holes that the oringal seat belts bolted to the floor with, just use those 2 per side for the harnesses.
thanks for the replay. my harness has a bolt for each side and one bolt for the over the shoulders. now i cant put them to the back seat cuz i have kids and thats just gonna get in the way so are there any other options? well i should rephrase that, any other options than drilling through the floor?
The harness should go directly back from the point at wich they go through your seat or as close to straight as possible. If you put them on the ground and you get in an accident the harness will compress your spine and do more damage than a normal seatbelt. If you have kids what the heck are you doing with a 4 point harness haha. Another thing you could do is get a bar that attaches to where both upper front seat belts attach. Its not to in the way as the kids can fit unerneath it and is a perfect mounting point for the harness.

i never even thought about that. well i have racing seats and there no where to mount the stock clicker in them so these were what i came up with. as far as the car deal, where do i get such a device or do i just need to go cut a bar and do some welding? thanks for the info, keep it coming.
well i got ahold of jegs today and the said mock the belts up and for the back i have to make sure they are at a 35 degree angle, and to mount them wherever as long as its at that degree. makes a little sense but still hesitant on puting them in. it would be nice if i could bolt my clicker back into the new seats tho.
Its called a B-pillar brace or Harness Bar from Sparco and it connects to where both shoulder belts connect. Get that for sure.
