4th Gen Timing Problem
I'm one of those who is embarrassed to ask a simple question that is clearly covered in the FSM, but hey- I'm stuck.
There's a great post by Street Sniper on how to set ignition timing, yet it differs from the FSM as to where you jump the ignition timing adjusting connector.
The FSM mentions a rubber yellow cap where you jump brn and grn/wht terminals. I cannot find such a connector.
When I follow Street Sniper's post, I can find the blue two terminal connector, but I'm not getting a CEL, so I assume that isn't working.
If anyone has been here and figured it out, please do tell.

Street sniper must be describing the method for 5th and 6th gen Civics. Jumping the 4th gen timing connector won't turn on the CEL. Follow the FSM and jump the 2P connector on the driver's side engine bay near the firewall.

So the timing is done and my Civic is back on the street. Thanks.
I did want to share something odd that I had to figure out. The 2P connector was nowhere to be found under the hood, so I went back to the passenger side door jam area (as per 5th - 6th gen instructions by Street Sniper) and connected a voltmeter there in order to determine voltage and to jump the connector. ~2.5V of current was present and I assumed that since I could not find the 2P connector where the FSM claimed it would be, this is likely it. I set the timing exactly as the FSM instructed and it worked as it should (the computer did not correct my adjustments).
Kind of weird that the connector was not where we expected and I wanted to share this with those who might run into this as well.
My 4th gen Honda is a 1991 Civic STD Hatchback.
