I got a 94 dx on take off and when u accelerate it feels like the car is bein held back but then it releaces anyone out there wit this same issue any ideas highly appreciated .....

 

It could be dirty injectors or fuel filter. Throw a can of Techron in the gas tank before filling up and run through most of the tank to see if anything changes.
A clogged catalytic converter may also produces symptoms that include the one you describe. I'd also check the plugs, distributor cap and rotor.
