94 Civic dx died

Default 94 Civic dx died

just picked up a 94 civic dx 5 spd. i was going down the road in 3rd doing about 35-40, and it just died, i checked the plugs and there fine and getting spark and i could hear the injectors clicking, any help would be greatly appreciated as i need my car to get to school in the morning

Do you hear the low humming sound of the fuel pump priming for 2 seconds when the key is turned to ON(II)? If so, check whether the timing belt snapped or slipped out of time.

fuel pump turns on, ill check the belt, how would i know if it jumpd timing

Pull off the valve cover and upper timing belt cover. With the front end on stands, turn the crank bolt only counterclockwise with a breaker bar until the cam pulley is positioned at TDC1. At this moment, check whether the crank pulley is also at TDC1:

well i deffiantly think it jumped timing

Remove the dreaded crank pulley, install a new timing belt, correctly set the mechanical timing, and then compression test the cylinders to check for possible engine damage. Good luck.
