Default 94 Civic DX help with car alarm?

I have a 94 Civic DX and it was broken into last week and all my stereo stuff was stolen. Anyway, there is an alarm in my car but I don't have a remote for it so it is disabled. Does anyone know if the 94 DX came with a alarm standard? If not how can I go about getting a new remote set for the existing alarm? How much would that run? And am I better off just getting a whole new alarm system? Thanks.

Depending on the options that came with the civic, i t may or may not have come with a factory alarm. If there is an aftermarket alarm, the brain for it is usually behind the driverside kick panel by the hood latch. If not there check behind the center console or the radio. If by chance that doesnt turn out any results, go buy one. Its alot cheaper in the end because 3 systems + alarm = 2000+ dollars. Whereas 2 systems + alarm =1400.
