Default 95 civic
i unplugged spark plug wire from distributor cap while engine was running it died and now wont start what did i mess up????

Most likely the coil. Several people have blown their coils that way. To conduct a "dead cylinder" check, instead disconnect the fuel injectors with the engine running.
