95 civic looses ALL electrical power. Please Help!
I Was Driving My 1995 Honda Civic 2 Door Coupe With 235 000 Miles On The Clock, When Suddenly The Battery Light On The Dash Began To Blink For A Few Seconds Then Went Off. A Few Minutes Later It Came Back On Again And Stayed On. About 20 Minutes Later I Noticed That The Interior Display Lights Began To Grow Dim, Then The Speedometer Stopped Working Completely And Just Stayed At Zero. I Also Noticed That The Engine Heat Gauge Stopped Working As Well, And I Suspect The Fuel Gauge As Well. The Millage Counter Even Stopped Moving. The Display Lights Grew Dimmer As Minutes Went By And Then I Noticed That My Headlights Started To Grow Dimmer. Soon, None Of The Lights Works, The Turn Signal Indicator Lights In The Display Did Not Even Work And When I Would Switch The Headlights
On The Car Would Falter As If Not Getting Enough Power. Soon, Nothing Worked, And It Was Completely Dark Inside And Out; No Lights Worked, Not Even The Fan Worked. The Car Still Moved Though, Somehow, And Boy Was I Glad That I Was Not Far From Home. And To Make Matters Worse, It Was At Night. When I Got Home I Parked The Car And Switched It Off, Then Tried Starting It Again And It Would Not Start, It Appears That The Battery Was
Completely Dead. Can Anybody Help Me Determine What The Problem Is. Is The Alternator Bad? I'd Really Appreciate Your Help. Thanks...

i'm thinking something to do with the main relay possibly.
if it were the alternator or battery, the engine would have shut off at the same time the rest of the car lost all its electricity, because the spark plugs need electricity to spark and run the engine.

I think you have a bad/dead alternator. First check whether the alternator belt snapped or is slipping. If the belt is fine, then replacing the alternator should fix the problem. Note that the battery is now completely dead and may need to be replaced. Nonetheless, first take it to an auto parts store to attempt to recharge it.
I agree with RonJ. This is typically what happens when your alternator goes bad or the belt breaks. The battery is not getting charged by the alternator, so it runs down slowly. As the voltage drops, things quit working.
The "battery" light on the dash actually monitors the alternator, not the battery.

Well, the belt could possibly have been slipping for a while before it snapped. Alternatively, as mentioned, the alternator may have just died.
