95 Dx coupe rattles
Hey,
So my car has this weird rattling going on. The car operates fine but I know something bad is lingering in the air. I did a tune up last year always change the oil, did the water pump and timing belt in the summer. The car has 93k on it any suggestions as to what other maintence problems I face around this life of my car.
Thanks HCF.

How long has it been rattling? 2 months or so
Is it getting worse? yes it gets louder
When does it happen? whenever I'm climbing a hill....usually in 3rd gear....but I've been hearing the rattling in other gears now.....usually in low rpms.
Where do you think the sound is coming from? for sure its coming from the engine....sounds loud when in low rpms and goes away when car revs faster.
What mods have you done? none

From one unmodified 95 DX Coupe owner to another. I feel your pain. I had an exhaust bracket loose that drove me crazy for a while. See if you can reproduce the rattle in the driveway. Use your parking brake and try to get the engine to lug down. Only give it just a little gas while letting the clutch out slowlyin 1st or 2nd gear and see if it will rattle. Be safe and make sure you have a clear driveway open in front of you. If it rattles get a friend to help you and open the hood and inspect the engine bay while making it rattle. If you can't get it to do it in the driveway, you'll just have to start trying to find loose stuff under the hood. Sucks. Wish I could be more help.
