I have a 97 civic 5 speed with a d16y8 swap vtec the engines and the ecu is out of a 2000 civic. My question is. Do I need the engine harness from the 2000 civic cause I think the harness is the original harness which I think it's obd1cause it doesn't have the secondary 02 sensor connection. The ecu is not read the down stream sensor

 

I have a 97 civic, I have switched a 2000 motor into it. The only other difference I've noticed in the wire harness is the distributor. I just went ahead and wire the old plug from my distributor in the 97 version and that way I didn't have to change my wire harness.
