97 civic audio help
So I'm in the process or replacing my stock stereo and also pushing the stock back so the keyless entry will work. The guide i was reading said the easiest way is to buy a honda wire harness and a REVERSE honda wire harness.
While searching around for the wire harnesses i came across "METRA Ltd 70-1720T Honda Keyless Entry Vehicle Harness"
So basicly my question is, Do i purchase just the keyless entry harness or the reverse harness and regular harness?

The T in the model number indicates the T harness, so it will have 1 to go into stock stereo, 1 to the stock harness, and wires to attach to the head unit harness. So if you plan on tucking the stock radio into the dash, this will work, but I did find I had to move a lot of wires around to get it to sit down inside better.
One thing that threw me off a bit and made it a bit more difficult is that the stock harness is attached (bound with tape and plastic wire cover) to two green harnesses (one which goes into the stock stereo, and one that goes into the keyless entry box mounted on the stock stereo, so I had to separate the three harnesses a bit to give me some room between where the wiring harness connects to the stock harness, and where the stock radio goes.
To try to be a bit more clear, three harnesses, 2 green go with stock stereo still, 1 connects to the harness to give your speakers sound. The one for sound will be near your stock stereo in most cases, so the 2 green harnesses need the plastic cover and tape cut so they can go south with the stock stereo's new home.
I probably made very little sense, but once you have everything open, it should be clear if yours is setup like mine was.
