I live in toronto, Last few days has seen the temp drop to -15 Celcius

My car has a manual lock with no keyless entry.

My door lock has started giving me trouble the last 2 days. The latch release on the inside stays stuck instead of springing back to its original position.
yesterday it the spring got activated after 15 min of driving,when i heard a click, but today again the problem has recurred.


Is there some place where i need to oil to get it to release properly.
