98 civic EX automatic transmission problem
98 civic ex with 198k with a automatic transmission issue.
When accelerating, when it goes to shift into the next gear, it will completely slip for a few seconds (i.e., feels like it's in neutral), then give a violent clunk and go into gear...and does it going into all gears except reverse. But here's the part thats confusing me - it's only happening intermittentaly...for example, it did it monday, tuesday and wednesday, but then worked fine for 4 days straight, with no slipping at all.
I've replaced the transmission fluid, and it's not throwing any codes...
Does this sound like an internal transmission issue, or a solenoid?
