Default 98 Civic HX Clutch Replacement

Ok, I'm going to replace a 98 civic hx clutch, the most recent honda clutch I have changed was my 89 crx si, does the front suspension or any other part of the process really differ much from the CRX clutch replacement?

Pretty much exactly the same. Undo the lower ball joint on the right side and pull the axle out. You may or may not need to take the axle nut off and pull the axle out of the hub to get clearance to remove the transmission. On the left side, simply pop the axle loose from the transmission, it will not be in the way as you move the transmission to the right to remove it from the car.

exact same process as your 89, just with a hydro clutch, i suggest taking a pair og vice grips and pinch the rubber hydro line so when you unhook the line it dont leak all ur fluid out and get air in the line, and unplug the speed sensor,

My procedure is not to disconnect the hydraulic line, just unbolt the slave cylinder from the transmission and lay it aside with the llne still attached. Do not let anyone press the clutch pedal while the car is like that.

I am going to try to do this w/o knocking the lower ball joint loose and ruining it, can you unbolt at the top and swing this away to get the cv out of the trans?
