Default 98 civic tape player removal

I have a 1998 Civic DX. My car has the tape player that sits behind the cup holders. I would like to install a cd player but I don't want a useless tape player to be there. Are there any kits/DIY that can turn the tape players space into something more usefull? I can post a pic if you want me to.

I'd recommend just putting in one of those tape to aux converters. That way it's useful and you can still have CDs in there.
