Default Accelerator not working properly

Someone please help me find the issue
i have honda civic 2007 and its running well at day time. But during night trips after turning on headlights it will run smooth for a while then it starts to loss acceleration and check engine light will show up.
Suppose when I am waiting at signal or round about then the car won’t accurate quickly after when the speed reach 30 or above then it will start to accelerate. What would be the fault anyone please help
