Ok, I picked up my low gloss hi-temp paint, and acrylic clear coat paint for doing the valve cover mod. My question is this: The hi temp can handle the heat obbviously, but won't the acrylic just peel off from the heat in no time?

 

IMO, I wouldn't use any clear paint unless it was high temperature rated. It may not peel off right away, but it won't go the distance.
