i have a 98 civic ex and when im just sitting there and the ac is not on....it will make a loud noise sounds like coming from the fan...sounds like a blower and then stop....then do it again like 5-10 min later? what can that be? and another question is how come when im driving and i come to a stop with my AC on my car like raddles and shakes?? why is that and how can i fix it?

The loud noise is your fan. Since it's not an electic fan you can hear it. If it really bothers you, you can get an electric fan.

A good fix for this is just to rip out that a/c stuff...lol..thats why you have windows. Good luck

the belt might be a little loose, mine makes some noises now and then....it doesn't shake the car though.

Check the bolts on the compressor on might be missing and cause it to be out of balance.
