Default AEM dry flow filter

How do you clean these filters? I have been just using water to clean it and let it dry for a while, it seems to work but does anybody else do anything different?

aem has a cleaning solution for them...
pretty much looks like just soak them in some soapy water and repeat and then let dry....
i havent cleaned either of mine yet...... maybe someday i will.
