Default anyone have an 01 honda civic ex coupe??

I just bought new rims for my civic and i can't get the original ones off. Do i have to take the whole tire off. They come loose around the outside but the middle won't come off.
Thanks

wait you're trying to take your tires off your old rims??? haha not going to happen... take them to a shop, you will NOT be able to get them off without a tire changing machine.

So you're trying to take your old rims off your car then?

Don't jack up the car and loosen the lug nuts, jack the car up, pull hte lugs off and then pull the wheels off.

Yes i am changing the wheel covers. i thought if i take off the lugs then the whole tire would come off. all i really need to know is that if i want to put new wheel covers on my car do i have to take of the tire. i tried just pulling the original wheel covers off but they won't come off. i'm not too sure if i cleared this up or made it more confusing. sorry, i don't have any pics.

some wheel covers are held on by the lug nuts, w/o seeing it its hard to tell. also, for future reference, there is a huge difference between wheels/rims and wheel covers.

gah, I hate it when people take **** like that to heart. We can't understand you, so we're trying to ask questions and clarify things for you which will help us better help you out with your problem and all you do is take offense to it.

You're not an expert? well if you don't want to learn anything, how do you expect to become even slightly knowledgable?
