I've got a stock 1998 Civic LX auto. Lately it act as though it hesitates to shift into 2nd. It doesen't do it all of the time. Is there possibly a bad sensor or is it most likely a tranny issue.

when is the last time u changed ur fluid but it sounds like a bad tranny. good luck

 

Check your tranny fluid level. If it's low it'll do what you're describing.
