Default axle question

I have been leaking trans fluid as of late and I thought it was just the seal between the axle and tranny. So I took it up to a trans shop just to see what they say and they told me the axle has too much play in it and its most likely not the seal. I have a B18b1 swap in the car with a cable trans out of a 92 Integra with the cable/hydro conversion. So my question is, what axle should I have? 94+ Integra axle or a 92-93 Integra axle to match the trans? I have been told that it has an axle off a 99 Si Civic by the last owner who I got ahold of today.

well play or not the seal is most likely the problem. and they can be a PITA to pop the new seal in, if the seal is pushed in to far it will leak. i know that from my old civic when i swapeed the seals and had to replace them a second time. and second time i installed the seal i used awhole bunch of thick heavy grease all over the inside and outside and axle shaft also. i figured the grease is thick and can only help the seal. i know it didnt leak after i replaced the seals.

axle is pretty easy. just be sure to get some grease to help pop it back in and be sure the small clip on the tranny end is on the axle shaft. and grease it up and the outter mount also so it slides thru the spindle easily and snaps into the tranny easy also. i tried my first one dry and it just did NOT wanna go in all the way. a pulled it greased it up and then it snapped right in easily.
the rest is just making room to get the shaft out. i removed the lca strut bolt and bolt on the fork. and i think i also removed the lca balljoint also. but its been awhile.

Got the new seal and axle in. The old seal popped right out and everything slid right back in. Couldnt have went better.
