Default Axle Question

I recently replaced my front lower ball joint, and the nut that is supposed to fasten to the axle at 200ft-lbs seems to have stripped (it keeps rotating in place ). ... What kind of risks are there in not taking care of this?

Do I need to replace the bolt? The CV axle? Rethread them? Or is it not that big a deal?

I've checked the nut, and it seems like it has stayed in place since there is a notch that prevents it from rotating... it did fasten in all the way, but on the last thread just kept spinning as i tried to tighten it...

I looked at the pricing of a CV axle for my car, its only $35 apparently lol dont know if its any good, but that seems super cheap!

I guess there is no problem now, so ill continue driving it around and checking on it periodically
