b16 swap wiring?
Hey guys I'm just finishing my b16a2 swap into my 99 civic that originally was a d16y7 auto car. I used the B16 harness that's obd2a with a harness adapter to a p28 ecu. She doesn't like cold starts but once its warm it runs great. Only issues are the tach doesn't work, speedo doesn't work, and rad fan doesn't come on. From some buddies I was told this was a normal thing and everyone does the swap this way (I'm still new to Hondas)
I was doing some more research and found a thread with the same issues but on an older civic and his mistake was using the B series harness as well and he should've used the vehicles factory d16y7 harness and it would fix all of his problems.
I ordered a conversion harness for my obd2b d16y7 harness to use with my p28 ecu but I thought I'd get some clarification first if possible. Was using the b16 wiring harness a bad move and its truly useless for my situation?
Thank you guys in advance!
