b16b wire harness swap questions
Ok, so this might be a little long winded but please bear with me because i need some help...bad. So i have a 98 civic cx hatch that i am currently in the process of swapping to a 99 b16b ctr motor. motor is in and almost everything is hooked up. Now, when i took out the b16y7, i just pulled the harness too as the b16b came with a complete uncut one ( since it was for a right hand drive car, i just cut and soldered about 2 feet to each wire to make it reach back to where it needs too). The engine also came with an ecu (37802-PCT-0031115-105034, incase its relevant). Ok, first of many questions. The ecu that came with theB16B will not plug into the harness that came with the B16B, but it plugs in just fine to the stock d16y7 harness. Why is that and why wouldnt it plug into the b16b harness that came with the motor if its a computer for a b16b? Is there a jumper missing or something? The d16y7 harness has three plugs that fit into the ecu, and a fourth green one for the dash wiring. the harness that came with the b16b only has two plugs, one of which (blue) will plug into the ecu that came with the motor, the other one (grey) will not. it too has the green dash wiring plug. im just so confused. i dont get why the ecu wont just plug in. any halp with this including and pin out diagrams would be great. ive used the search and got nowwhere even though i did find some other interesting things. any help in this would be awsome. thanks in advance. oh...and any diagrams on how hoses like fuel and vac go would be awsome....i think i got em mostly right, just since im using a skunk2 intake manifold and tb some things just dont work out all that well. thanks again guys
