Default b18a1 into 97 ex coupe questions

okay so i can get a 91 acura integra with a b18a1 in it and a 5speed trans for 450 bucks, but whole car. Needs a starter and plugs/wires. Supposidly runs very rough so it may need more but i had some questions before i thought about it at all.

The AC setup on it looks completely different, how hard would it be, if not impossible to make that AC system work in my 97 ex. im guessing impossible but it never hurts to ask.

secondly would it even be worth while? and what is available for VTEC head swaps out there?

lastly will the rear trailing arms work on my civic to give it rear disk brakes?

some of these are probably a bit ridiculous but bare with me as the car would be dirt cheap.

thanks people.

Ok bud......

What state do you live in?
If its cali or any other ridiculous smog state you cannot.
You cannot legally swap an older motor into a newer car and the last year the b18a was used was 91 i believe. If you could get a b18b you could do it. IMO definitely not worth it. You need axels shift linkage mounts and more.......
And no you cannot take its brakes you would need an integra of the sameish generation like a 96 teg i believe.

hope this helps.

im in AZ, and live in a small town where i dont have to smog my car so that wouldnt be an issue. I told a friend about the car who needs an engine to just sell his EK so he might buy it. But if he doesnt i will still get her and then either fix up to sell, or part out and scrap the shell, im sure i could sell all the parts for at least 700 or so.

looks like the best thing to do is leave it alone, or buy it to fix up and sell for more/part out.

ill hold out for a SI or Type R civic motor.
