where is the block drain plug on a 88 honda civic (D15B2 engine - 1.5 liter).
i have the head off and there is a big bolt about 5 inches to the left of the oil dipstick tube - is that it??
i think it takes a 3/4 inch wrench (socket)

Yes that's it. It can be stuck or corroded after all those years so I wouldn't unscrew it unless really really necessary.

thanxs for the reply - i am putting on a new head gasket, and would like to get rid of the gasket remover and bits of gasket that is in the water jacket.
will give some tug on it and see how it goes.

If it won't budge, just use a wet/dry vacuum to clean the block out.
