blown gasket
I went to my mechanic today and he told me that the gasket between the 4 and 2 pipes in the headerwas bad. Fiirkan was right. I don't think that if I call megan racingthey would send me one for free as part of the 1 year warranty, but I don't really mind because the part is pretty cheap. Only thing though is that I don't know where to get one. I'm pretty sure that I can't just get any ol gasket right? It's got to be one for a 4-2-1 header. anyone know where I could get a direct fit gasket for a megan racing header?
Also why would my gasket go bad? Did I need to let it break in a little more befor I drove it hard? I'm pretty sure that I put it in correctly and tightened it good.

Well, the way that honda manifolds are set up, their gaskets are different from aftermarket 4-2-1 header's I was told by my mechanic and he drew me out a diagram showing the bolt holes and the main ones. I was just at atuzone and the guy said that they don't carry header gaskets for megan racing and they don't make universal ones. So I think i'm going to have to call megan racing and see if I can just buy a gasket off them.
Alright I just ordereda mid-way gasketthrough megan racing, cost me $15 but the guy said that they will send that out today so thats cool. What can I do to not let this happen again in a couple months? Should I let it break in longer not going over a certain rpm?
If allof a sudden your exhaust sounds different, raspy, louder, uglier.... also your carbogs a little, and you can smell gas when you start it up inside the car with the doors closed.
