Default Body Dent

hey everyone, I have a problem that I discovered today after work. Well I park my car close to a transit stop and junior high school, in a trailer park, as I have to catch a coach bus to work. Anyways, when I returned from work this afternoon, I noticed somebody must have decided to whack my car with something, as the drivers door now has a fair size dent on the beam above the door[:@] I also noticed su****iously that the rubber seal inside the window is cracked directly under the dent, but no other visible damage is on the window or beam besides the dent. Do you think it was a break in attempt, or just somebody smacking it with something. So I was wondering how I can pop the dent out myself, is there a special tool I can buy somewhere that will actually work, or must I take it to an autobody, I dont really have money now for such a small bother, put it does look hideous, lol, so can i fix it myself, and what tool do I use?

probably tap it out.
have to remove the interior door panel.
take a piece of wood that is round on the end -old chair leg- and use a hammer and tap on the wood with the wood on the indentation

Im not sure that will work, the dent is on the roof area, the beam just before the roof line, and the beam is just over the door, u know, like the head beam or whatever its called. O, its like the top part of the door frame. Do u think tapping it out will work? thanks for the response
