So I've been banging my head for a few weeks cant figure it out.I have a 99 Civic Si and a 93 Civic with a JDM B16. I was having engine problems with my 93, it started to sound like a couple of the injectors stopped working. I pulled the plugs and all four were black. Had a 10 code, fixed it and moved on. I get no CEL, but when I start it, it runs great, when I drive it like an old lady, it runs great, but when I drive it like borrowed it, it falls flat on its face. Noticed that at 6000 RPMs and floored it, it didn't even move. I swapped engines between the two cars and the problem stayed with the 93. The intake and manifold stayed with the original car, I have replaced the MAP, TPS, plugs and wires, even the distributor. I run in the car a MSD SC Blaster coil. Hope its enough to give someone ideas, if not ask and I will answer.
