Default brakes help

a while ago i had to slam on my brakes, don't ask why i just did. i'm sure this issue can apply to all cars not just civics but i have a civic 05 incase someone wanted to point me in the direction of a DIY page. ever since i slammed on it, as i drive and mainly tap the brakes, i feel a slight bumping... i want to say that i heard someone say that slamming on brakes can cause your rotors to go out of whack. can anyone give me details on the number of consequences that occur when being someone that has slammed on his or her brakes? any help will be appreciated, thanks.

You may have warped your rotors [&:]

Is it like a vibration when you hit the brakes? Like, does the thump only happen once, or repeatedly?

could just be the abs kicking in (perfectly normal) - if it is constant though, your discs could be warped - you can check this with a dial gauge, check autodata for tolerances

never heard of that - but thanxs for the post.
i heard it said that they will warp if they are hot and you drive thru water that gets up into them. i guess the colder the water, the high possibility it will be.
