Brand new Civic drifts to the right
Hey Everyone. I just bought a new 2006 Honda Civic yesterday, 8/18. While on test drives if I took my hands off the wheel on a straight road, the car would pretty much stay straight.
I took my car over to a buddy's house tonight to show him and while checking it out and trying to show me something he turned the wheels hard to the right while the car was in park. I don't think he had the key fully turned and so was turning the wheel without any power steering. Now on a straight piece of road the car will pull about 10 feet to the right within about 40 feet.
Could he have damaged something, or am I just being a drama queen? Suggestions on what to do, besides breathing into a paper bag and hyperventilating? I asked this in the New Member area also. Thought maybe I should have done it here.
Thanks.
Jeremy

I would have it looked at and have your friend pay for it if anything needs to be done.
I hate that crap, when someone does something that to your stuff that you normally wouldn't do and then it doesn't work right. I'll bet your friend says your just overreacting.

that would not hurt anything.
i think he would have had to have the key on to turn the steering wheel.
cant think of how to help you - only to check the components underneath.
