that sux..ive done the same thing like 8 times..my dad did it once while the car was on..lukley the hood was open so he just pulled 2 spark plug wires and it turned off.

usually what i do is grab the hatch release (idk if your car has a hatch) but thats a lot easier than the door lock. hook that and just crawl threw..i really need to get a spare key.

Locksmith came and went.

He used a small blow up bladder to bend the door frame out and had a 4 foot plastic coated metal rod with a hadnle on one end and a hook on the other to catch the lock latch. And a small crow bar sort of thing to pry the door open enough to slip the bladder in. Took him about 3 minutes. $65.00

Instead of using wire hangers, I have used welding rods from Home Depot. They are a lot stiffer and easier to control than hangers. About three years ago, I locked my keys in my car about three times in a month. This was the only times I did it. Go figure, I have owned this Civic for ten years. I guess it was the nasty divorce I was going through.

I remember when my mom locked her keys in with the car running, some bad kids came out of a truck with the metal bent thing they have in tow trucks, its made for breaking into cars, they helped us out. Then asked for some money. Gave them like $20 or something

Ha, i was in marching band, and we were in the parking lot putting our uniforms over our clothes and i had my radio on listening to it. Sure enough, out of habit, i stood up, locked the door, and closed it. Then i realized it was locked and the radio was on. I had to get my dad to drive all the way down there with the spare. I now keep a spare key in my wallet. Ace hardware sells a wallet key holder. You should all invest in one and a spare key. I've locked myself out a few times, but i just reach into my wallet and pull out the spare.
