I finished putting on my new bumper and got everything situated. I decided I should adjust my headlights again, so when I pulled the latch lever the hood didnt pop even though the cable was still attatched to the lever. I looked in the grill and saw that the cable came off the latch. I cant take the bumper off to fix this because the bolts that hold the bumper on are under the hood. I have been able to reach the secondary lever that you move to open the hood after its popped but cant find anything else with my hands. Any ideas?

 

false alarm. Jacked the car up and found a way to release the hood and then fixed the cable.
