Building a Bullet Proof Block?!?!
So heres my question(s):
I would like to know exactly what is in an engine from Top to Bottom.
I would like to purchase my own parts to build a fantastic Honda B-series motor. I was thinking an LS block and put a vtec head but also use some skunk2 v&r and I'm not sure really where else I'd like to go. I'm not interested in boosting it yet, or getting the blocked sleeved, just having an all motor beast capable of a turbo sooner or later.
So tell me Honda Civic Forums in your opinion what makes a great motor from top to bottom?
Thanks.

Definately...you have to pick and choose. If it was me, I wouldn't go turbo and just have a kick *** naturally aspirated engine. Those engines can be tuned with some after market parts to make the thing rev to 11 grand naturally and safely. Just imagine, your car being able to revthat high. Obviously, transmission internals will have to be changed to match up with the new increase in speed but if you are willing to spend the money, I would most definately go N/A and listen to the revs!
Oh yes, there is absolutely no question about it. If you are looking for horsepower, an efficiency booster is untouchable in that area. I personally love N/A and experimenting with the setup's trying to get that extra horsepower. I just love hearing the engine rev up to redline on it's own, probably my most favourite sound in the world!
