Default Busted oil pan

I was driving down the road last night and hit a rock (thought it was a paper bag...) that rock busted my oil pan open. We had to take off the front bumper. When we got the car on a dolley some of the plastic parts tore apart and we can't figure out what their purpose is. Any diagrams of the parts behind the front bumber and inside oil pan would help alot.

You'll probably get more useful assistance by mentioning the year and model of your Civic.

The black plastic sheet on the bottom of the car behind the bumper is the splashguard. It is not essential for the car to run but having it in place will keep the engine cleaner and improve gas mileage slightly.

You can see some simple exploded diagrams of how the car goes together and what the parts are called, at hondaautomotiveparts dot com. Also they sell parts.

The year is 99 its an EX. The splash guard we removed the part that was ripped open is below the left head light. It's just a plastic box I it didn't seem to connect to anything its below the air filter.(also a big plastic box)
