I just acquired a 95 EX for my son. The a/c didn't work when I picked it up, the previos owner said it was working up until recently. Anyway, there was no belt on it, so I stuck a belt on and it still does not work. The compressor makes some noise, and the shaft seems to move a bit, but the clutch does not seem to engage.
I assume the compressor is shot...my question....if the shaft still spins, is that considered a catastrouphic failure that will require all new components or can I just do the compressor and drier?
