Default A/C leaking into Passanger Seat

I noticed water in my carpet on the front passanger side. My dad thinks it's the drain hose. Any idea how hard it would be to fix this on our own?

ya its probably the drain hose.... get alittle coat hanger from under the car and dig around inside the hose alittle and make sure the hose is conected under the dash. could be minor.

The fluid on the pass floorboard is either -
1. water condensation buildup in/on the A/C evaporator core (which isn't draining out properly underneath the car)
2. coolant is leaking from the heater core (needs replaced)

if it was the coolant, it would smell and it would be green in color. that should be easy enough to diagnose.

check the fsm in my signature to see how hard or easy it is.

it probalby is a plugged drain hose which will just need to be cleaned out.

Very simple. Disconnect the drain hose from the evaporator box. (If it's already disconnected, that's your problem). A lot of water will come out at that point if the hose is clogged. Now go under the hood and pull the hose out of the car so you can clean it out completely. There could also be a blockage inside the box, which you might be able to clear by pushing a wire thru the hole in the firewall and into the box. Reinstall the hose.
