A/C and Radiator Fans Running, Help Please
The car is 1991 CRX SI, just replace tranny and when I turn the ignition on both the condenser fan and the radiator fans come on. What should I replace, check, etc. Note, I checked the continuity on the two relays next to the radiator, without voltage open, with closed. Thank you

Is the A/C on? Fans will run when A/C button is pressed, even if the engine is not running.
If not, try unplugging the thermal switch on the back of the engine block near the alternator-- it has 2 wires. The oil pressure switch and knock sensor (if equipped) only have one wire, don't mess with those. It is supposed to close when the engine gets hot and start the fans. If it is stuck closed, fans will run all the time.

I disconnected the switch near the alternator, it was attached to the manifold riser. The A/C switch on the dash was off. Fans still run with the key switch on. I also disconnected the coolant temperature switch, fans still run. What now?
