a/c wiring question
I just bought a 93 civic ex with a d16z6 and i'm trying to figure out why the a/c is working and maybe you guys on here can help me out. I poped my hood and next to the condenser fan I see all these wirings covered in electrical tape and as i unwrapped them i notice that nothing is connected to where its suppose to be. The electrical connection thats ontop of the condenser fan has nothing hooked up to it and theres also another connection further down to where the compressor is that also has nothing hooked up.
does anyone know or have pics to see how everything is hooked up.

Unplug the pressure switch (Pull the plug only, do not unscrew it from the line) and check it for continuity. If there's no continuity most likely all the refrigerant has leaked out and you'll have to deal with that. Also try to turn the front plate of the compressor (which is "in front of" the pulley, but on the left side of the car since the compressor is mounted sideways) by hand. If it can't turn the compressor is shot.
I can't see the pictures either but when your harness is ratty and jury-rigged, pull a whole harness out of a junked car (starting from the connector on the right fender) and replace it.
Edit: The thing in the first picture is the pressure switch, it's already unplugged.

can i take pics of each individual connection so that you can tell me where they go connected to or if it even goes to anything. if you have the same vehicle. Not today though i have to go to work
Everything there plugs into something. It's pretty foolproof as all the plugs are different. Looks like one of the relays is missing. They should be bolted to a little bracket that goes on the front crosspiece near the headlight.
i know exactly the connection your talking about because i just took the bracket off thinking it was there for nothing since nothing was on it. your right i think i would save myself a big headache if i go pull the whole wiring off another car and just hook it up. thanks bro
