CAN I bake apart my headlights to remove yellow reflector?

i know thiers several vehicles where you can bake the lense and pry it apart and simply pull out the yellow reflector and just glue it back together.
and instead of buying some aftermarket headlights that dont have the yellow reflector in thier can i just bake em and clear em?
i did it with my old 96jimmy and it turned out great!
hoping i can do the same.........
I know I have read a DIY on it somewhere (either here, 7thgencivic.com, clubcivic.com, or honda-tech.com as those are the only ones I have looked through).. just use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the glue that's holding it together, pull the headlight apart, heat up the yellow piece and pry it off or something to that effect, and then put the headlights back together making sure to use some silicone to reseal the lights..
I was thinking about doing it, but don't want to ruin my stock lights incase I sell/trade I want to keep all my stock stuff.. and I plan on using them during the winter if I get my halos.
So short answer, yes it is possible..

I was thinking about that also on my 96, but as you know the 96-98 has a bigger and VERY VERY ugly big yellow area. lol well jsut use a hair dryer to pry it open huh, guess i'll give it a try too since i been thinking about doing it sooner or later but never really read up on it. Thanks khanselman
when I have time today at work I will try to find the DIY...
EDIT: If you go to any of those websites and use the search feature you will get tons of information about this. I can't find the one that they used the heat gun / hair dryer, but here are a couple with using the oven.. be warned to not put them in too long or you will warp them.

ya ive done the bake thing before on my old 96 jimmy
before and after

tho had one problem.LMFAO

but i got lucky and it broke on a edge and broke clean. so i was able to just push it back together and silicone it sealed. youd never know it was busted like that! but i ended up trading some stock headlights for the ones i cleared and pocketed 35bucks

one thing i realy learned is if you have to pry realy realy hard.... put it back in the oven.LMFAO
i was hoping these would be similar... but for my jimmy the reflectors just fell out! they werent glued in at all!
