Default Can Some1 Help w/ Backfiring?

when i shift my car backfires. now that i got an exhaust you can really here it. not really sure what it is? any suggestions? thanks shawn.

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? Do you have the right kind in? Go with the kind stated in your manual prolly NGK copper, unless your running boost. Could also be bad gas. I would also run seafoam and or fuel injector cleaner to clean it up a bit, carbon buildup can have something to do with it. Replace the distributor cap and rotor along with the plug wires and i'm pretty sure with these changes the backfiring will be gone.

DO YOU HAVE A CAT? BECAUSE IF THERE IS NO BACK PRESSURE IT WILL DO IT MY 91 HATCH DOES IT BECAUSE I GOT STRAIGHT PIPE
