I got a 95 Civic DX. Long story short...I failed inspection last week. I was told it was because my power steering rack and hoses were leaking, they recommendedI let them replacethe rack and hoses for $1039.99....crazy!I tookmy car to a local shop and had them check it out and see if the rack and hoses really needed to be replaced.They tell me the rack and hosesdid not need to be replaced,there is a leak where the inner tie rod ends and power steering rack meet. They said they could fix it for $270.I don't know too much about this so I don't wanna pay $270 for some patch work that won't get me past inspection.Anybody got any information for me? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
