what tool do I need to get the inner tie rod end in on my 95 civic? Am I better off taking the outer off and getting that end of the inner on, then boltong the outter back on?

 

do you have a manuel rack or a power steering rack?

 

I think you first pop the outer tie rod ball joint, loosen the lock nut on the inner tie rod, and then remove the tie rod. Spraying some penetrating oil on the inner tie rod side would also probably help with the removal.

 

Rent a ball joint removal tool. I rented it in order to replace the tie rod boots on my 95 Civic LX.
