Hello guys
New to the forum, but need some help identifying and finding a specific blinker bulb.
I bought an 01 Civic LX recently and went to replace the blinker bulb. Only issue is it has aftermarket headlight fixtures and OEM bulbs wont fit ( they are too bulbous for the opening) . Ive tried ALL the local shops including body shops and no one carries the bulb. They suggested replacing the harness with an OEM one but id rather not do that...yet.
The bulb says 1156 12w 27v.

The bulb is narrow instead of wide like OEM. Can anyone tell me where to find and purchase this bulb? And maybe what THIS type of bulb is?

It is amazing how many different types of bulbs all use the same dang 1156 Part Number.

Does it need to be orange glass or will clear due? It is an incandescent bulb and I am going to assume that it is a 12 volt system?

It really IS amazing how many share the same number. The local part stores showed me about 4 different styles that are the same number.
Yes, it needs to be orange as the plastic is clear...sadly lol.
I believe it to be 12v system as all the bulbs say 12v and no aftermarket wiring or battery.
Also should note, he bulb is a single filament.

My only concern is that it looks more yellow than the original bulb i posted above. Whats the allowed spectrum for blinkers? I read yellow to orange, but .gov doesnt list specific color range in terms of number, ie. 3k-5k.
The above bulb says its 3k on the spectrum.
