Car vibrates in 1st gear

Car vibrates in 1st gear
Okay, I own a 2003 Honda Civic EX. The car has about 117,000 miles on it, and I've noticed that for the last 4 months the car vibrates when its in 1st gear. It happens when I first start to accelerate. It vibrates like crazy for a couple seconds from a dead stop. It also happens a little bit when I'm accelerating in 2nd gear, but not nearly as noticeable as in 1st gear. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
