I have a 95 Civic CX, SOHC engine, 1.6L....A few weeks ago my civic started to run only on two cylinders (cylinders 1 and 4)...couldn't figure out what was causing the problem so I was going to bring it toa garage and a few days ago I went to start is and it will not start. The car turns over like normal but it just won't fire. Checked the spark plugs, they are all firing andthe fuel pump is working.

Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

pull compression check , if you are getting fuel and enough spark

 

could be the rotor switch. that happend with mine.

Exactly. If you're absolutely positive that you're getting spark to ALL the plugs, and that you've got enough fuel pressure, then you should definitely run a compression test. It's really easy (and free!), I did a write up in the DIY section, check it out.

Another option is that you may have clogged injectors. Run the compression test first, and post your numbers. If those are good, that my guess is that you've got clogged up injectors
