Default check engine light help

I just got my regulator replaced on my alternator and before I did this the codes that came up were a 7 and a 9. Now that I fixed that it comes up as a 10 and 10 only. Also my brake light comes on randomly. Anyone have any ideas.

You mean the brake lights on the back of the car? There is a rubber pad on the pedal arm that presses the brake light switch when the pedal is up (brakes not applied). If the rubber pad falls off, the brake lights will stay on all the time. That's the most common reason. The switch could also be faulty or misadjusted. Remember when the button on the switch is pressed, the brake lights go out, and when it is not pressed, they come on.

Or do you mean the "BRAKE" light on the dash? This light comes on for 3 reasons: hand brake handle up, brake fluid level low, or hydraulic pressure imbalance. The last reason is very rare. As the fluid gets low, the light will go on and off "randomly" as the fluid sloshes around.

@mk my brake light on the cluster kept comming on, i filled it with brake fluid, it worked fine, now its steady on, and the fluids full..

@OP, check to make sure your intake sensor is plugged in like norbster said.. its right on the side of your airbox.. if you have an aftermarket intake, it may be plugged into that..

Sorry for threadjacking, i was interested too lol

Unplug the sensor on the brake fluid reservoir and see if the light goes out. If it does, the sensor is bad. If it doesn't, check the switch on the hand brake next.

There's a switch by the e-brake lever. You probably have to remove the arm rest and boot to get to it. That's just my guess tho
