Default Help Needed: Check Engine Light, Green Light flashing D4

I am new to the forum, but at this point I'm desperate for some assistance.

I have a 1996 Honda civic hatchback, the check engine is on. When its pulled up on a code scanner it shows a transmission default code or so im told.

So the check engine light is on and even in park the D4 has a green flashing box around it.

How do I fix this problem, the car runs good, shifts fine.... just has the codes up.....

Any help is much appreciated....

We need to know what the codes are. Use the paperclip method.

Pull the plastic kick panel off of the passenger side and you'll see the computer. There is a loose plug hanging above it. It will be a 2 pin plug. This is the service connector. Jump the two pins using a paper clip bent in a U shape, or a piece of wire. Then put the key in the ignition and turn it to the IGN2 position so the CEL will turn on. You will see the CEL start blinking and also the D4 light. Both show different codes. Check them and let us know what pops up for each light.
